Wuyuan, under Shangrao City, is hailed as "China’s Most Beautiful Countryside" for its Hui-style villages, rapeseed flower fields, and "sun-drying autumn" customs. It preserves Ming-Qing architecture—ancient residences, ancestral halls, and covered bridges. Key sites include Jiangwan’s Sanxing Hall (ancestral home of philosopher Zhu Xi) and Huangling’s "Shai Qiu," where villagers dry chilies and corn on bamboo trays, creating vibrant mosaics.

In spring, Jiangling terraces explode with yellow blossoms; autumn paints Shicheng village in red maple leaves against whitewashed houses. Wuyuan is also an ecological haven with 82% forest cover—at Moon Bay, fishermen cast nets through morning mists.
A 210-yuan pass covers 14 sites (valid 5 days). Fly to Huangshan Airport (1.5-hour drive) or take bullet trains to Shangrao Station.

Tip:
① Prime seasons: mid-Mar–early Apr for flowers, November for foliage;
② Huangling requires a separate ticket (145 yuan) but offers unique drying rituals and cable car rides;
③ Stay in restored mansions like Mingxun Villa in Likeng;
④ Sample local dishes: braised red carp and Qingming rice cakes.
